          || { ♪ } If she could be honest, Sayaka expected more people than this to recognise her by now. Sure, so what if her band washed up, she had still been a celebrity for two years. It was rather aggravating to see that her efforts to grab at the young adult market for that time had been in vain seeing as most people passed her by in the street as if she were some normal civilian. Well … one could argue that was all she was now, but…

… She couldn’t give up hope. It wasn’t like Sirène was completely finished; it still had one fighting member living to continue its legacy. Sayaka wasn’t welcoming to the idea of letting her dream die. How was she to impress Kyousuke in this way? She’d already failed him once…

And thus began her search for new members to resurrect the band from the ashes. Sayaka traipsed along streets in the downtown area of the city, flyers in one arm and posters in the other. Every now and then she’d take out a hammer from her bag and nail a poster to a brick wall. ‘Band Auditions’ could be read in glaring blue letters, as well as the band’s own name underneath. She’d start in the downtown, hopefully appeal to more of the shy alternative kids, before working her way upwards.

That’s exactly what she had been doing, but she’d been too caught up in her ‘routine’ state of mind to notice how she was in the process of hammering an advertisement to an abandoned shop window. Shit.

Sayaka didn’t even allow herself much chance to react before the window cracked all over and shattered into pieces with a crash. She flinched, quickly drawing her hands away from the fragile glass and leaping out of the impact zone. The girl glanced down at her fingers. Still loosely holding the hammer, the forgotten poster pinned down under various shards of glass beneath her.

❝ How is it possible to go from famous rock
idol to this literally overnight? ❞

She huffed, leaning her weight on a nearby wall. Who was she kidding? She wouldn’t have any luck down here of all places…
