|| { † } There was no doubt about it, this was Miki Sayaka. For a moment, Homura had been even hoping that there was an imposter in her place, seeing as that would make far more sense then what was standing in front of her. As wary as she was, it was probably worth sticking around and hearing out the blue-haired’s side of the story.
Though gathering how she, by her own words, didn’t know what it was that kept her alive, the vampire wouldn’t be getting any answers any time soon.
By Sayaka’s account, the possibility of how she might have faked her death was thrown out the window as well as a number of different explanations Homura was trying to search for.
Usually a slight irregularity wouldn’t be of much concern, but this… One who had actually met with death was brought back alive. And Miki Sayaka of all people. How? A tugging thought caused Homura to believe that it was most likely magic. The magic of which kind, however… that was again another concern. Apprehension nipped at Homura like frostbite.
❝ So… you have been living undercover?
Away from everyone else for so long?
How such a feat can even be possible, I
don’t… I don’t believe I understand. ❞
|| { † } Yet another irregular timeline, as so she’d been apparently notified. Apparently asking around for ’Miki Sayaka’ was something no one had done for the past few years, since her death. How peculiar. Not that it hadn’t happened before, but… usually Sayaka was to die after she’d arrived.
Concerning herself with the state of Miki Sayaka was none of her business anyway. The state of Kaname Madoka, however? Another matter altogether.
It was mere days before Homura would transfer into Mitakihara High, and she was determined to gather her strength before the real battle began all over again. Though she hated looking at the thing, her tainted soul gem glowed considerably brighter at the abundance of magical energy in the area. There was a Witch here, definitely.
Following the trace quickly and effortlessly, Homura felt the energy weaken as she approached. The Witch was being defeated by someone else. A shame. Well, she’d arrived close enough to the scene, at least she could observe who she was up against in this city. Perhaps Tomoe Mami?
No…that scent…couldn’t be.
That all-too familiar voice confirmed it all.
❝ But you’re… ❞ Homura slowly muttered in disbelief.
Someone sure had a lot of explaining to do. Miki Sayaka had been dead for years, she’d been told. And yet here she was, in the flesh, standing in front of her as lively as life could be. Odd. No, more than ’odd’. This girl was dead.
The vampire didn’t hesitate much to clear her throat, the sound slicing through the silence.
❝ … Excuse me. You’re a… Magical Girl, yes?
I’ve heard… things about someone who
matches your description. And I’m rather
bewildered. ❞

hUH well how about. homura enters a timeline where she’s been told that sayaka’s already dead. and she manages to find sayaka going out and hunting witches or getting supplies or whatever she does. homura’s really cautious because she knows half-witches exist so they could fight a bit maybe. then something happens and homura reveals her vampirism and some biting happens perhaps idk
